Exploring the Latest Innovations in Injectable Treatments

NeuroToxins

For muscles to contract and expand, they depend on signals from connecting nerves. A neuromodulator is a small protein that blocks the communication between nerve and muscle cells. Neuromodulators are used medically to treat certain muscular conditions and cosmetically to improve wrinkles and fine lines on the face and neck. Preveda currently offers Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin neurotoxins. During the consultation we come up with a plan, recommend the product most suited to you, and dose the medication based on muscular assessment.

Botox

The first and most popular neuromodulator. Botox contains Onabotulinum toxin A and is FDA approved to last 3-4 months. It is indicated for the treatment of moderate to servere forehead lines, frown lines, and crows feet. .

Dysport

A popular cosmetic injectable that contains Abobotulinumtoxin A. Some studies have suggested that dysport works quicker and lasts longer. Dysport differs from botox in the size of dosage. More dysport is applied per injection site compared to botox, which makes it useful for larger surface areas like the forehead.

Xeomin

A newer toxin on the market that is considered the purest injectable due to the lack of specific proteins that are found in Botox and Dysport. This lack of additional proteins decreases the chance of the body producing an allergic reaction or neutralizing antibodies when treated with Xeomin.

Fillers

Fillers, also known as dermal fillers or soft tissue fillers, are non-surgical cosmetic treatments used to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are injectable substances that are typically made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps retain moisture and add volume to the skin.

RESTYLANE

At Preveda, we carry a wide variety of hyaluronic acid based fillers in the Restylane family. During the consultation process we discuss goals and expectations and select the appropriate filler(s) for the job. Restylane fillers can be used to treat fine, moderate, and severe wrinkles and loss of contour/volume in the face.

Biostimulating Filler

Stimulate your body's natural collagen production with your own blood via PRF or choose an injectable like Radiesse or Sculptra

RADIESSE

Radiesse is one of the longest lasting dermal fillers on the marker. It is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It is stiffer than hyaluronic acid fillers and is used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, all while stimulating collagen and elastin production.

SCULPTRA

Sculptra is a bio-stimulatory injectable that helps smooth facial wrinkles and improve skin tightness by stimulating collagen production allowing the skin to naturally renew itself over time. Sculptra is made out of Poly-L-Lactic acid which is a naturally occurring byproduct that is already in the body. Sculptra is commonly injected into multiple areas of the skin where visible volume loss is noted. It is a popular injectable due to the fact that it yields very natural results. Some people even call it a 401K plan for the face!

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)

PRF is a natural bio filler made entirely out of your own blood. There are zero chemical additives present in the bio filler, which makes it ideal for patients with autoimmune issues and those wanting a natural result. PRF utilizes your platelets to instruct the body to create new collagen, exosomes, and growth factors. PRF is created by drawing two tubes of blood the same way they do during a routine lab draw. The tubes are centrifuged, undergo a heating and cooling process, and voilà! After a few minutes of processing, the liquid gold turns into a gel that is injected into the skin similar to a dermal filler. PRF is an ideal treatment area for under eye hollowing and can be injected in all areas of the face. PRF can also be used topically during laser treatments, or injected into the scalp or eyebrows to promote hair growth!.

WHAT IS BOTOX?

Botox, a popular cosmetic treatment, offers a range of benefits to those seeking a youthful appearance. One of its primary advantages is its ability to effectively reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving you smoother and more youthful-looking skin. By targeting specific facial muscles, Botox helps restore a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance, boosting self-esteem and confidence.

Unlike permanent surgical procedures, Botox provides temporary results, typically lasting around three to four months. This allows for flexibility and the opportunity to adapt your look over time. Additionally, Botox injections are a minimally invasive solution, making it a convenient choice for those seeking a quick and relatively painless option to combat signs of aging. Beyond its cosmetic benefits, Botox has versatile applications and can be used to treat medical conditions such as chronic migraines, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms, offering additional therapeutic benefits. WHAT IS Classic Filler?

The term "Classic filler treatment" typically refers to the use of dermal fillers to address facial volume loss and the appearance of wrinkles and lines. Dermal fillers are injectable substances that are used to plump and volumize specific areas of the face, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

During a classic filler treatment, a qualified healthcare professional will strategically inject the filler material into targeted areas such as the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds (smile lines), and marionette lines. The filler substance, which can be made of hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, or other biocompatible materials, works to add volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours.

The effects of a classic filler treatment are typically immediate, with visible improvements in facial volume and diminished wrinkles. The duration of the results varies depending on the type of filler used, metabolism, and individual factors, but generally lasts from several months to over a year.

It's important to note that the term "classic filler treatment" is not an official medical term but is commonly used to describe the use of dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation. Consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is essential to determine the most suitable filler treatment for your specific needs and to ensure safe and effective results.

WHAT IS Refyne Filler?

Refyne is a type of dermal filler treatment designed to address facial lines and wrinkles. It is specifically formulated to provide natural-looking results while maintaining the flexibility of facial expressions. Refyne is made with a hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into the skin to add volume and smooth out wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

Refyne filler treatment is particularly effective in treating moderate to severe nasolabial folds, also known as smile lines or parentheses lines, which extend from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. These lines can become more noticeable with age as the skin loses elasticity and collagen.

What sets Refyne apart from other fillers is its unique cross-linking technology. This technology allows for a balance between flexibility and support, so the filler can adapt and move naturally with your facial expressions. This means that while Refyne provides volume and fills in lines, it still allows for a natural range of facial movements, avoiding a stiff or overfilled appearance.

As with any filler treatment, it is important to consult with a qualified medical professional who can assess your individual needs and determine if Refyne is the right option for you. They can provide personalized guidance and administer the treatment safely and effectively.

WHAT IS Radiesse Biofiller?

Radiesse is a bio filler treatment that offers a unique approach to facial rejuvenation. It is a dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Here's an overview of Radiesse and its characteristics:

Stimulates natural collagen production: Radiesse not only provides immediate volume and smoothness to the skin but also stimulates the body's natural collagen production. The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres act as a scaffold, supporting the growth of new collagen fibers over time. This helps to restore youthful volume and elasticity to the treated areas.

Long-lasting results: One of the key benefits of Radiesse is its long-lasting effects. Unlike some other fillers that may require frequent touch-ups, Radiesse can provide results that last up to a year or more. This longevity is due to the collagen-stimulating properties of the treatment, which help maintain the desired results over an extended period.

Versatile applications: Radiesse can be used to address various aesthetic concerns, including softening wrinkles and creases, restoring volume to areas such as the cheeks and temples, and enhancing the appearance of hands. It offers a versatile solution for individuals seeking comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

Non-surgical and minimally invasive: Radiesse is a non-surgical treatment that involves injections into the targeted areas. The procedure is typically quick and relatively comfortable, with minimal downtime. Patients can often resume their daily activities shortly after the treatment.

As with any cosmetic procedure, it is important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional who can assess your specific needs, explain the potential risks and benefits, and determine if Radiesse is the right treatment option for you.

WHAT IS Sculptra Biofiller?

Sculptra is a type of bioresorbable filler treatment that is designed to stimulate collagen production and restore volume in the face. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that provide immediate results, Sculptra works gradually over time to improve the overall facial contour and address signs of aging.

Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which is a biocompatible and biodegradable substance. When injected into the deep layers of the skin, Sculptra stimulates the body's natural collagen production process. Collagen is a vital protein that provides structure, firmness, and elasticity to the skin. As we age, our natural collagen production slows down, leading to volume loss, wrinkles, and sagging skin.

The Sculptra treatment involves a series of injections administered over multiple sessions, usually spaced a few weeks apart. The gradual approach allows for a natural-looking outcome and long-lasting results. Over time, the newly produced collagen helps to replenish lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and improve skin texture.

It's important to note that Sculptra is primarily used for facial rejuvenation, addressing concerns such as hollow cheeks, deep folds, and sagging skin. It is commonly used in areas like the temples, cheeks, and jawline. However, Sculptra is not recommended for use in lips or areas with thinner skin.

As with any cosmetic procedure, it is essential to consult with a qualified healthcare professional or dermatologist to determine if Sculptra is suitable for your specific needs and to discuss the potential risks and benefits associated with the treatment.

WHAT IS PRF Biofiller?

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) bio filler treatment is a natural and innovative approach to skin rejuvenation and volumizing. PRF is derived from your own blood and contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and fibrin, which are essential components for tissue regeneration and healing.

During the PRF bio filler treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient, similar to a routine blood test. The blood is then processed using a centrifuge to separate the PRF from other components. The resulting PRF gel is rich in growth factors and is injected into specific areas of the face or body to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and restore volume.

PRF bio filler treatment offers several advantages. First, it utilizes the patient's own blood, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or adverse effects. Additionally, PRF contains a higher concentration of growth factors compared to other treatments, promoting natural collagen production and tissue regeneration. This leads to long-lasting results, as the body continues to improve the skin's texture and elasticity over time.

Furthermore, PRF bio filler treatment is versatile and can be used for various concerns, including facial rejuvenation, scar revision and even as an adjunct to surgical procedures. The treatment is minimally invasive and requires little to no downtime, making it a convenient option for individuals seeking natural-looking results without significant interruption to their daily activities.

It is important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional or dermatologist to determine if PRF bio filler treatment is suitable for your specific needs and to ensure safe and effective treatment.
